Chuping Orchard Purées works with a group of Harumanis growers in northern Perlis. During the April to June season, ripe mangoes too marked for the fresh fruit market are peeled, puréed and frozen in 1 kg pouches within a day of picking. A ready-to-drink nectar is also bottled in small runs.
Juice bars, dessert cafés, smoothie kiosks and hotel kitchens use the purée year-round for drinks, sorbets and mango sago. Because the fruit only comes once a year, most volume is sold on pre-booked contracts before the season. Frozen stock ships with a cold-chain courier.
