Dapur Halia Karak buys mature ginger from farms around Bentong and Karak, juices and cooks it down in a small kitchen, and bottles three products: a sugar-free ginger concentrate, a brown sugar ginger syrup and a halia bara paste of ginger roasted over charcoal for a smoky teh halia.
Customers are mamak restaurants, kopitiams and highway rest-stop drink stalls across Pahang and the Klang Valley, plus bubble tea shops that use the syrup in ginger milk tea. Stock ships by courier twice a week. Stall owners can order a single trial bottle before committing to a carton.
