Small-batch liberica and robusta from smallholdings around Tenom, roasted weekly for specialty cafés.
Pangi Valley Coffee is a two-person roastery in Tenom that buys cherries and dried beans from about a dozen smallholders in the surrounding hills. Beans are sorted by hand, rested and roasted on a 5 kg roaster every Tuesday and Friday. The focus is liberica, which is common in the district but rarely sold as a single origin.
Buyers are mostly specialty cafés in Kota Kinabalu, plus a few in Kuala Lumpur and Penang that want a Malaysian filter or espresso option. Green beans are also sold to other roasters in small lots. Orders ship by courier the day after roasting.
Why kitchens choose Pangi Valley Coffee
- Roasted twice a week and shipped the day after roasting
- Traceable to named smallholdings around Tenom
- Green beans available to roasters from 10 kg
