Cheong Kee is a third-generation tea shop on Lebuh Pantai that also supplies restaurants. It packs pu-erh, tieguanyin, shou mei, jasmine and chrysanthemum in bulk for dim sum houses, along with dried monk fruit and herbal mixes for cooling-tea stalls. Teas come through Yunnan, Fujian and Guangdong importers and are checked by the family before packing.
Restaurant accounts usually order 5 to 20 kg a month. The shop can suggest a house tea list at different price points and will pack smaller foil bags for each service station. Deliveries around George Town and Butterworth go out weekly.
